'Mountains of the Moon' Single Origin - Uganda

from £9.99

Funky flavours of cooked pineapple, rum and cola dominate the cup. A rich, syrupy body with medium acidity and a high sweetness throughout.

This is a beautiful, community-sourced arabica coffee, with more than 1,000 passionate farmers contributing to this regular seasonal harvest. Farms are scattered across the hillsides of the luscious Rwenzori mountains (or as they’re also known, the ‘Mountains of the Moon’, due to their snow-capped peaks).

This coffee is a primary income for many of the families of the Rwenzoris. A recurring sight as you travel through the mountains is seeing farmers drying their harvest on tarpaulins out the front of their homes.
